JM Energy is a Southwestern Ontario projects developer specializing in
design-build of direct transmission & distribution connected substations
and standalone & hybrid battery energy storage projects. JM Energy is a
privately owned corporation formed by an experienced PEO accredited power
systems engineering company and an experienced transmission-distribution
substation construction company, with a joint team of 40+ power system
engineering, construction and project development professionals. JM
Energy, with its combined resources, has successfully developed,
engineered and constructed many high-voltage transmission and
distribution connected substations ~100MW in size, four large battery
energy storage projects (3 in Southwestern Ontario) and provided power
systems engineering studies including Load Flow analysis, Power Quality
studies, Protective Coordination etc., as well as major BESS feasibility
studies for clients including large mines in Northern Ontario, City of
Toronto and others.
JM Energy works directly with facility / asset owners on deployment of
battery energy storage projects providing turnkey EPC solutions from early
feasibility studies, through interconnection approvals and project permitting,
to detail engineering, construction and startup, taking an energy project to
an achieved COD. JM Energy’s expertise is in Battery Energy Storage Systems
(BESS) deployment leveraging on the experience gained from implementing
numerous BESS projects with complex HV-MV interconnections, challenging
LDC/HONI/IESO approvals, and short project schedules. JM Energy’s strength
lies in two project development pillars, engineering and construction, which
enable clients to optimize their energy assets deployment, extract maximum
value from the existing assets, and solve complex power system issues.
